(2) Investigation is continuing, and this AD may be amended in light of the results of the investigation. Upon request, an equivalent means of compliance with the requirements of this AD may be approved by the Manager, Boston Aircraft Certification Office, Aircraft Certification Division, Federal Aviation Administration, 12 New England Executive Park, Burlington, Massachusetts 01803, telephone (617) 273-7103. This amendment becomes effective March 20, 1987, as to all persons except those persons to whom it was made immediately effective by Priority Letter AD No. 86-24-03, issued November 21, 1986, and Priority Letter AD No. 86-24-03R1, issued January 13, 1987, which contained this amendment.
