NOTE: Fuel pumps of the above listed part number and serial numbers may be reinstalled after modification of the drive mechanism by Teledyne Continental Motors. Modified pumps will be identified by a "K" permanently marked in the upper right hand corner of the fuel pump name plate. In addition, temporary identification of the modified pumps is provided by a purple color on the high pressure aneroid housing. Upon request of an operator, an equivalent means of compliance with the requirements of this AD may be approved by the Manager, Atlanta Aircraft Certification Office, Federal Aviation Administration.
