Compliance required as follows: A. Prior to 1,200 hours total time in service for engines with 1,000 or less hours total time in service on the effective date of this airworthiness directive, or B. Within the next 200 hours time in service for engines with more than 1,000 hours total time in service on the effective date of this airworthiness directive, or C. Before August 1, 1984, regardless of engine total time in service. NOTE: Refer to the pertinent operations and maintenance manuals for operational check procedures and requirements. Avco Lycoming Service Bulletin No. LTS101A-73-0043, dated March 21, 1983, identified and described in this directive is incorporated herein and made a part hereof pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552(a)(1). All persons affected by this directive who have not already received this document from the manufacturer may obtain copies upon request to Avco Lycoming, Williamsport Division, Williamsport, Pennsylvania 17701.
