Unsafe Condition
Landing gear failure due to hydraulic leaks, surface cracks, or dissimilar/incorrect metals in the main landing gear upper strut barrel assemblies.
AI-generated summary from the source AD text. Verify against the official source before acting.
Required Actions
Within 5 hours' time in service after the AD's effective date, visually inspect barrel assemblies for hydraulic leaks and surface cracks. If discrepancies exist, replace the assemblies before further flight. Within 25 hours' time in service after the effective date, conduct chemical tests to check for dissimilar or incorrect metals in the barrel assemblies. Replace assemblies with correct ones if discrepancies are found. Report all defects to the FAA as specified.
