(a) Input shaft helical gears, P/N S6235-20158 having 250 or more hours' time in service upon the effective date of this AD shall be inspected in accordance with Sikorsky Aircraft Service Bulletin No. 62B35-6 before further flight after the effective date of this AD. (b) Input shaft helical gears P/N S6235-20158 having less than 250 hours' time in service upon the effective date of this AD, shall be inspected in accordance with Sikorsky Aircraft Service Bulletin No. 62B35-6 prior to the accumulation of 250 hours' time in service. (c) The input shaft helical gears shall be reinspected within every 250 hours' time in service from the last inspection. (d) Upon request of the operator, an FAA maintenance inspector, subject to prior approval of the Chief, Engineering and Manufacturing Branch, FAA Eastern Region, may adjust the repetitive inspection intervals specified in this AD to permit compliance at an established inspection period of the operator if the request contains substantiating data to justify the increase for such operator. (Sikorsky Aircraft Service Bulletin No. 62B35-6 dated July 29, 1963, covers this same subject.)
