If more than 50 rivets are found loose along either the front or rear spar on either R.H. or L.H. wing center section between the stations mentioned above, they should be replaced immediately following the procedure outlined by Civil Aeronautics Manual 18.20-3(e)(4) (ii)(a). If less than 50 rivets are found loose at any of the above specified locations, the rivets need not be replaced until the time of next major overhaul. Upon request of the operator, an FAA maintenance inspector, subject to prior approval of the Chief, Engineering and Manufacturing Branch, FAA Southern Region, may adjust the repetitive inspection intervals specified in this AD to permit compliance at an established inspection period of the operator if the request contains substantiating data to justify the increase.
